Intro To Disctopia: The Platform For Creatives
Empowering Independent Creatives.
Creatives are what we do. Since we’re a creator’s first platform, we’re non-exclusive and only aim to complement and enhance our users’ existing digital independent businesses. We want to make creative content more valuable by giving users a platform to distribute it to their fans, followers, and subscribers. We give independent artists, authors, podcasters, labels, filmmakers, and distributors the flexibility they need to make the best decisions for their careers.
Disctopia wants to be the global streaming and hosting platform for independent content creators. By enabling independents to compete in the ever-changing world of digital media, our platform adds genuine value to the global digital market.
Disctopia has compiled some of the best independent content creators through licensed curation and direct submission, allowing independent media to be represented and valued in the digital market.

Talib Jasir, Founder of Afros & Audio Talks with The Squeeze about Podcast Movement, Community, and more.
Last week, The Squeeze Newsletter, written by Skye Pillsbury, released its interview with Talib Jasir, Founder of Afros & Audio. Talib gives his insights about the events that took place at Podcast Movement and the response by the industry, as well as what it takes to organize a conference with "intention and purpose”.
“Afros & Audio is the most rewarding thing that I do. One of our biggest supporters is a world traveler; she goes to a lot of events. She told us that Afros & Audio was the first conference she attended where she felt like she was home. We have introverts who tell us that this is the first time they didn’t need to get under a blanket and recover for a day and a half after being inundated with people; they felt rejuvenated and energized. We have people who arrive feeling tired of their podcast, feeling worried that it’s not this or it’s not that. They leave knowing that they’re not alone in having those kinds of trepidations and fears. They leave with the idea that we’re all in this together, we can do this together.”
