Since the launch of this newsletter in August 2022, our mission has been to provide a unique platform for Black podcast creatives and professionals in the podcasting industry. Over the past few months, we have made several changes to ensure that our subscribers are receiving the best possible experience.
Now, we are taking things one step further. We have decided to make our content delivery more streamlined and user-friendly, while making sure to keep you informed with the latest news and updates.
This means that rather than presenting a single, overwhelming weekly edition, we will be breaking down our content into smaller, more manageable pieces. This allows us to give you the information you need without overwhelming you. We hope that this new approach will provide a more enjoyable and engaging experience for our subscribers.
We are excited to announce that we are evolving our platform to offer more organized and curated content! Starting this week, we are rebranding “This Week In BlkPodNews” to “The BPA Insider”. The BPA Insider will feature the most up-to-date happenings in the BPA and the podcast industry.
For those of you looking for fresh content, we have several other sections you can check out. Our New Releases section will keep track of new podcast launches and released episodes. Feature Fridays will highlight a creator or professional in the podcast industry each week, and The A/V Club will provide the latest information on technology, audio and video news.

Podcast Producer Quincy Lewis Crowdfunding for New Documentary About Sleep Apnea: Dying To Sleep
Good afternoon and Happy New Year!
I'm reaching out to you and a few other business owners and friends to tell you about my important Sleep Apnea Documentary. Sleep Apnea is becoming a major issue in the Black community, with related deaths on the rise. I'm creating a documentary to provide awareness of this issue and resources for our community to get diagnosed and seek proper treatments.
To get the documentary completed, I am raising funds to secure locations, upgrade equipment and hire help. Unfortunately, I am still about $5k short of my goal. So I'm asking for your help.
