I know I know I’m a little late….but it is still Friday after all …it’s Feature Friday! ✨
My mission is to amplify creative voices in my locality and support with resources and networks.
Amplify creative voices and thats what Tony Onwuchekwa also known as, Tony Doe, is all about. He is a Radio and Podcast Consultant with years of experience in broadcasting, production, and management for multi-format radio stations. So it makes sense with the amount of media and radio back ground that Tony would be a part of the podcasting space. He does just that with his podcast Into The Podverse. Feels like space exploration right🚀.
"Into The Podverse" with Tony Doe, explores the latest innovations, challenges and opportunities for podcasters from an African perspective. It also features exclusive interviews with Masters of the Podverse, all aimed at helping to elevate the voices and experiences of the podcasting community.
Tony got into podcasting when transitioning from Radio to full-time consultancy about a decade ago, He created syndicated content and decided to have a place for his own 'to-rad-for-radio' ideas online. (ha love that 😂)!
With ten years in the game the podcasting space has changed a lot, there were but as Tony shares the journey to success isn’t for the faint of heart.
It's a long road. There are no shortcuts to success. And even success is measured very differently from individual to individual.
Indeed it is different for how we all measure success, but the key is to truly bring it back to our people and help us maintain a space in podcasting. As Tony shares, we have more folks tilting towards creation and podfading pretty quickly because very few local success stories provide tactics and strategies to follow.
Speaking of tactics and skills what are some key things he learned:
Content Management, podcast editing and podcast SEO. Because the goal is to see more local podcasts come to the fore with authentic personalities and stories, good enough to even snag TV show deals.
Welp…i think it’s clear to set goals whatever they may be and the best way is to be true to your authentic self….✨
…..Imma just add…don’t be afraid to speak up yourself because you are doing great things…..
…so until next time…
