🎵Helllooo from the other siiiide….🎶 Of the week…it’s Friday, Feature Friday
“I’ve learned that when your “why” is strong, like my mission to support children’s emotional growth and family connection, the work never feels wasted. Every episode becomes an act of love and purpose.”
What’s Good?! My good people? Or better yet, What’s Poppin’? If it isn’t obvious yet where I am going with this…check out this week’s feature! We are highlighting the talented Toni Kennedy the creator and executive producer of the award-winning, critically acclaimed children’s podcast What’s Poppin’ Penny?
What’s Poppin’ Penny? follows a curious preschooler who discovers a magical teddy bear tied to her family’s history. With help from her talking cat Penelepaw, Grandma Spicy, and her loving parents, Penny learns to handle big feelings and celebrate everyday adventures. The characters are absolutely lovable if I do say so myself.❣️
It’s so dope to see a podcast geared toward kids come from such a dedicated person like Toni. When someone’s passion is in it, you can really feel the energy come through the pod…and that’s what happens with this show!
But don’t get it twisted, the show has such a diverse following and interest. Trusted adults and their little Brownstone Buddies love the show. What’s Poppin’ Penny? appeals to a remarkably wide range of listeners—and that’s not an exaggeration. From the very beginning, her largest audience came from across Asia, including Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, and Tokyo. Something about this multigenerational Black family deeply resonated with those families and teachers abroad.
Look at the show art ✨ I mean, it is the cutest…how can you resist this show for your little one?
My goal for What’s Poppin’ Penny? is to continue growing our presence in families and schools around the world, helping children build emotional intelligence through joyful, relatable storytelling.
Now that we know the goals… what about some fun facts from Toni herself!
Elegant you are indeed, Toni! So Brownstone Buddies… Go check out and share What’s Poppin’ Penny? Think about it, it wasn’t voted 2023’s Best Kids & Family Podcast For Ages 3+ for no reason!!
So in a world where you may not be sure of what to share with your kids…you can’t go wrong with What’s Poppin’ Penny?
So we now know what’s poppin’… and I’d like to think this Feature Friday’s poppin’ too!
Until next week
I’m wishing you
