Rae Wynn-Grant brings the unique perspective of stories from the wilderness right to our podcasting ears.
Her podcast Going Wild with Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant is her original series, produced by PBS Nature. It is nature storytelling – true stories of adventures with wildlife and in the wilderness with Rae and other guests of color. So if you’re into wildlife you should for sure check it out.
Though she was invited into the podcasting space to host Going Wild, it made sense because of her background. She’s a wildlife ecologist. she runs a research lab at UC Santa Barbara, and she also hosts the television show Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. This spring look out for her book, because that’s dropping soon too! Talk about doing some pretty amazing things ✨.

It’s funny because we often hear different stories about how people came into the podcasting space. But this one was just so simple, an ask. But even after the ask there are still things that could be learned along the way….right?!
I have had the priviledge to work with some of the very best in the industry, so I went from having zero podcasting experience to having master-level knowledge. It doesn’t hurt that my husband is an audio-visual engineer and really helped me with all the tech and setup during each season. I’ve learned the value of a quality microphone, the need to be relaxed and focused, and how much vulnerability and authenticity really come through with audio.
How cool, to have access and work with the best in the industry, the learning curve though steep, seemed to have paid off. Now Rae is creating some pretty awesome content.
