🎵Friday, Friday, Friday can’t you see sometimes your words just hypnotize me and i juve love it’s Feature Friday…..🎶
“Because thriving isn’t a luxury. It’s possible, and it’s the goal. We all deserve careers that support who we are becoming, not just who we’ve been. And the sooner we believe that, the sooner we can step into it.”
If you’ve ever needed a sign to keep pushing through whatever season you’re in, well, here it is. Happy Friday, y’all! We made it. And speaking of thriving, I’m let’s get into this weeks Feature : Olajumoke Fatoki. She is an award-winning podcast host, certified HR professional, and career growth coach whose entire mission is helping immigrants, newcomers, and professionals build careers where they don’t just survive…they bloom. 🌱✨
Olajumoke is the creator and host of the Thrive Careers Podcast a globally streamed show that has reached listeners in over 18 countries and recently won Best Career Podcast at the 2025 Women Podcasters Awards. How awesome is that!? What started as a personal response to her own immigration roadblocks has turned into a platform of empowerment for thousands. With over 8 years in talent acquisition and performance management across African and Canadian markets, she brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to helping people grow confidently in their careers.
Too often, professionals feel stuck in survival mode—just going through the motions. We settle for burnout because we think it’s normal. But surviving isn’t the dream…thriving is.”
Whew. I felt that, it isn’t just about surviving but finding success and excelling in it for years and years to come. We’ve all been there….tired, overlooked, or rebuilding from scratch and her pod is the place where you’ll feel seen. Thrive Careers Podcast dives into real conversations around workplace dynamics, job searching, career pivots, and personal development. It serves the folks who are often invisible in new job markets: skilled immigrants, ambitious newcomers, young professionals, and career changers trying to find their footing. Through expert interviews and actionable insights, she gives listeners the tools and confidence to build careers that spark purpose not just paychecks.
Get into this pod art…like I’ve said again and again…sometimes your best brand is you! Its straightforward and to the point. ❣️
What I love most is that this podcast was born out of a moment of uncertainty. Immigration delays left Olajumoke unable to move forward with work even though she was prepared and qualified. So she decided to do something about it, remember podcasts start from many places! She picked up a mic in her bedroom and started sharing what she knew. That spark has now grown into a movement with a big goal which is to empower at least 10,000 newcomers and immigrants over the next three years through community, resources, and real guidance. And let me tell you, with the way she’s moving? She’s well on her way.
“Take yourself seriously, be consistent, and show up as your most authentic self. People connect with your story long before they connect with your setup. Your voice has power even when you don’t fully see it yet.”
So use your power….for good 👀. Our voices are more powerful than you think. So as you head into your weekend, I hope you feel inspired to step out of survival mode and into spaces that let you thrive. So check out Thrive Careers Podcast because sometimes the thing that helps you grow is just one episode away.
🎶And if you don’t know…now you know. 🎵
Until next week
