WE RIGHT HERE!
It’s Monday! It’s been a busy week as spring break was in effect. But my saving grace has been audiobooks. And yes, I'm that person who proudly says 'I read the book' when really, I'm all about someone narrating the story to me, whether I follow along with the book or not. So, imagine my excitement when I heard about Spotify's latest treat for us audiobook fans: 'Countdown Pages.' It's like the pre-game for your next favourite for upcoming new releases! Spotify's taking the cool countdown feature we've loved in music and spinning it into the audiobook world. Now, you can mark your calendar, hit pre-save, and get an instant nudge when new books are ready to dive into. They’ve even got an 'If you like this, you’ll love…' kind of section, which is great for finding your next obsession.
It’s dropping around mid-April, and it's going to level up our audiobook experience. Spotify’s already jam-packed with over 200,000 audiobook titles, and they’re not slowing down. Whether you’ve got the Premium subscription or you’re enjoying the audiobook-only plan, your Kindle, Kobo, or Apple iPad is about to catch fire! Source: TechCrunch for the full story.
And hey, speaking of awesome audio content, here’s this week's lineup of podcasts hosted or co-hosted by Black Canadians that you've got to check out. Explore these recommended shows to enrich your listening journey.
