Ditto to you Sherley! There is a strong connection between some of the items and artifacts on display in the Reggie Lewis Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, and books, artifacts and other information located in Nova Scotia and the rest of the Canadian Maritines. For instance, apparently, Black sailors on whaling ships helped many enslaved Africans in the Eastern Maryland seaboard escape to New York, Massachusetts including Boston, Cape Code, Martha's Vineyard and New Bedford, then up into Nova Scotia and the Maritimes. Last year, I did a series of podcast interviews with historian and songstress Vienna Carroll in front of the Harriett Tubman statute in Harlem, NY where she discussed the little known important role Black sailors played to secure our freedom in the 1800s. Since Black sailors had agency compared to most enslaved Africans, especially compared to those in the southern portions of the USA, Vienna says clearly that the typical historical American narrative is incorrect and incomplete "because we freed ourselves!" Later this week, I will comb through my podcast archives to post up a link for you to at least one of the podcasts I did with with Vienna. Additionally, please email me since I would enjoy doing a Zoom Youtube podcast interview with you as our featured guest at a mutually convent time at some point in 2024. My email address is Dr.BobStressRelief@yahoo.com. With Gratitude, Bob Wright

Very pleased to see this helpful reminder about Black Canadians. During Spring 2023, I was fortunate to visit Nova Scotia, where I found more information about how Black sailors helped enslaved Black people in America, escape to freedom in Nova Scotia and the Maritines. I was also thrilled to learn that there is a plaque at the local hockey stadium acknowledging that the sport of ice hockey was founded by Black players in Nova Scotia in the early 1800s. This was mind blowing information for me and others. During 2024, I hope to interview several of the Black Canadian podcast hosts found on this post for my Youtube StressFreeNow podcast channel. Keep up the good work and best wishes for both financial and health prosperity in 2024 and beyond. Peace and Blessings, Dr. Bob, The Stress and Pain Relief Doctor. www.StressFreeNow.info
